SNOWMAKING UPDATE: Last night our snowmaking team was able to make snow on all trails. Temperatures ended up being 4 -5 degrees warmer than forecasted and production was limited. We should be able to make snow tonight however production will be marginal.
What a great opening week. Bear Creek opened on Sunday, December 30 with 4 trails and 3 lifts. Bear Creek’s snowmaking team was hard at work all week and with the help of Mother Nature Bear Creek was able to have 99% of their terrain open by Saturday, January 5.More »
Every year we anticipate the opening day, this year it caught us off guard. During the week of Thanksgiving we saw a cold snap and took full advantage of it. We were ready but still had a lot of work ahead of us to open the Mountain. We began snowmaking on November 24 and by Thanksgiving we had some very large piles forming around the mountain.
