Second Annual Cheese Rolling 8/19

For a second year, Bear Creek will be hosting a Cheese Rolling as part of the Cheese, Garlic & Summer Mountain Festival.

The Bear Creek Cheese Roll: Due to the increased risk of injury from this event, participants must sign an liability release.  THE THREAT OF INJURY IS REAL.

WHEN/REGISTRATION: The first wave of the Cheese Rolling will begin at 2pm on Sunday, August 19, 2012. Registration begins at noon in the Guest Services Lobby. Participants will be placed into four waves of 50, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note that registration will end at 1:45pm.

TICKETS: Participants must purchase tickets to the Cheese, Garlic & Summer Mountain Festival. All participants must be 18 years or older. Registration for the event will take place during the festival in the Guest Services Lobby from noon-1:45pm.

Adults - $8
Youth (6 yrs. - 12 yrs.) - $3
Kids 5 yrs. and under are free.

ROLLING LOCATION: The Cheese Rolling will held on the bank above the pond and WILL end with a splash.

WHAT IS A CHEESE ROLL? Competitors gather from the top of a hill, a round of cheese is rolled, competitors race down the hill after the cheese. The first competitor to catch the cheese and cross the finish line at the bottom of the hill wins the cheese.
