practices and green products, and believe that these may
help create a healthier world. Our goals include
reducing our environmental impact, increasing our
recycling program, and reducing our carbon footprint.
Bear Creek’s Green Initiatives include:
- Organic vegetable and herb garden
- No synthetic pesticides or herbicides used
on property
- All landscaping, garden and compostable food
scraps are composted
- Recycling program in place for paper,
metal and plastic
- Use of environmentally friendly cleaning
products throughout resort
- On-site wastewater treatment system that treats
waste on property using treated effluent for
irrigation and ground water recharge
- Energy saving lighting, including fluorescent
and compact fluorescent fixtures, motion sensors and
computer controlled system to turn off lights in
unoccupied areas
- State of the art power and HVAC control
systems to minimize heating, cooling and electric
usage
