Executive Chef
Michael Greenstein
Chef Michael comes to Bear
Creek most recently from
Wintergreen Resort, a
four-season resort
encompassing 11,000 acres
with a focus on golf and
skiing. Wintergreen operates
four full-service
restaurants, a catering
department, five ski area
food service outlets and
golf snack shops. His
accomplishments at
Wintergreen make him a great
fit for our ever growing
food and beverage facilities
at Bear Creek.
Among his career
accomplishments are his
recognition in 1991 in Chefs
in America, an invitation to
be a participant in
Celebrity Chefs brunch for
Meals on Wheels in Chicago
and acting as a consultant
for Bellagio Hotel in Las
Vegas. Chef Michael was also
a Guest Chef at the White
House during the George W.
Bush administration.
Chef Michael is a graduate
of the Baltimore Polytechnic
Institute and the U.S. Army
Aviation Logistics School.
He has moved to the area
from Nellysford, Virginia.
Chef's Herb Garden
The dining facilities at
Bear Creek Mountain Resort &
Conference Center use only the freshest
ingredients, including a variety of herbs grown in our very own garden.
Planted in the spring of 2007, our Chef's Herb Garden is located adjacent to
the hotel courtyard and features over 20 varieties of fesh herbs.
