February is Give Back Month for Bear Creek.  We are pleased to announce that we will be helping to raise money and awareness for several worthy causes.  Guests will have the option to make a donation towards any of these causes while making a lift ticket purchase.  This is completely optional.   Each week of February will benefit a different cause.

Listed below is who we are giving back to and when:

• February 2 – 8 – The Julian Diaz Legacy Foundation
• February 9 – 15 – The American Heart Association
• February 16 – 22 – The Special Olympics
• February 23 – 28 – The Topton Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1

Here’s more about each worthy cause.

• The Julian Diaz Legacy Foundation’s mission is to advocate for burn victims and support families facing similar hardships. The foundation is committed to promoting fire safety and burn awareness to help prevent further tragedies and to advance research in burn treatment, ensuring those affected receive the highest quality care and outcomes. • February is American Heart Month.  The goal of American Heart Month is to raise awareness about heart disease and encourage people to take action to prevent it.  Since this week includes Valentine’s Day, we felt it was a good week to support the American Heart Association. For over a century, the American Heart Association has led the fight against heart disease and stroke. As the nation’s largest voluntary organization focused on cardiovascular health, the AHA unites millions of volunteers and supporters to save and improve lives through education, research, and advocacy. • Special Olympics is a global movement dedicated to ending discrimination against individuals with intellectual disabilities through the power of sports. It fosters a world of inclusion, acceptance, and community where every individual is valued and welcomed, regardless of ability.

• Topton Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 is dedicated to serving and protecting our community with unwavering commitment. Their recent purchase of a much-needed E-One Ladder Truck enhances their ability to respond to emergencies and keep our community safe. As a volunteer-driven organization, they rely on donations to fund vital equipment and resources that allow them to continue their life-saving work.
